Dentons will expand its reach within ASEAN this year by combining with firms in Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines this year, said Dentons global vice chair and ASEAN CEO Gerald Singham.

Speaking to Singapore’s Business Times in April 2021, Singham said that firms in Brunei, Cambodia and Laos will also come on board “very fast” after the combination takes place in Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Dentons Rodyk was formed in 2016 after Dentons merged with venerable Singapore firm Rodyk & Davidson. The firm added an office in Myanmar in 2017, when it combined with boutique corporate firm Livingstons Legal to create Dentons Myanmar. In 2018, it added offices in Malaysia by combining with Zain & Co. and Indonesia by combining with Hanafiah Ponggawa & Partners.
