Jerry Xia Joins AnJie As Partner In Shanghai

Jerry Xia (also known as Xia Feng) has joined AnJie’s Shanghai office, where he will be a partner. Xia’s extensive IP and technology transactional experience will enhance the firm’s capability in IP litigation and enforcement, trade secret protection, IP licensing, corporate IP strategy and management and government policy advocacy areas, both in China and in the Asia- Pacific region. Xia will work with the firm’s IP teams in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

 

Xia joins AnJie from Honeywell, where he had been its deputy general counsel and chief intellectual property counsel for Asia Pacific since 2007. At Honeywell, Xia developed and led a team of 11 IP professionals to support all Honeywell businesses in the region. He helped formulate Honeywell’s China IP strategy, achieved a significant increase in patent filing and cleared hundreds of new product introduction (NPI) projects to protect Honeywell’s innovation and business growth. Besides IP filing and prosecution and portfolio management, Xia also provided strong transactional support to Honeywell’s IP licensing activities, M&A due diligence and integration, and contract drafting and negotiation.

 

Prior to Honeywell, Xia practiced China IP law at international law firm Baker McKenzie in Hong Kong and served as legal manager for Datang Mobile, a Chinese telecom technology leader headquartered in Beijing.
