DLA Piper has announced that William (Skip) Fisher has joined the firm as a partner and head of patents in China, to be based in Shanghai. Fisher’s practice focuses on counseling, licensing, and enforcement/litigation in all areas of intellectual property, with a particular emphasis on patents, trade secrets and international IP and technology-related transactions. Hehas 20 years of experience advising clients in a wide range of technologies and industries, including computer hardware and software, computer networks, mobile devices and applications, telecommunications, Internet and e-commerce, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, medical devices, mechanical and industrial products, aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing. He has practiced in the US, China and Hong Kong, and joined from Hogan Lovells.
