IX Asia partners with blockchain team owner to address cybersecurity risks

Finance consultancy firm IX Asia Limited (IXA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BIGG Digital Assets Inc. (BIGG), owner of Blockchain Intelligence Group, a leading developer of blockchain technology search, risk-scoring and data analytics solutions.

Signed on May 20, 2020, the MoU seals the delivery of powerful digital asset anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financing or terrorism solutions to IXA for a stronger and more secure customer experience.

“Fintech technology continues to advance, so does the pace of new cybersecurity risks especially around crypto transactions,” IXA director Irene OL Wong said. “By partnering with Blockchain Intelligence Group, IX Asia anticipated to provide solutions to today’s digital asset management AML and security education.”

These solutions include BitRank Verified. It scans cryptocurrency addresses and transactions for illegal activities. With BitRank Verified, users such as RegTech, banks, ATMs, exchanges and retailers can meet traditional regulatory and compliance requirements.

Another solution is QLUE, a blockchain-agnostic search and analytics engine. It allows law enforcers, RegTech, regulators and government agencies to access details of crypto transactions. With this capability, tracking and tracing crypto transactions at a forensic level and getting notified of any movement in the transaction becomes possible.

The partnership also allows IXA, which launched the first Hong Kong cryptocurrency index called ixCrypto, to carry the Cryptocurrency Training Academy courses. With seasoned in-house investigators and certified bitcoin professionals on board, the Academy will help develop a more compliant cryptocurrency marketplace in Asia and allow compliance professionals and regulators to mitigate illegal activities and the people behind these.

“We look forward to the opportunity of collaborating with BIGG and developing new technical solutions on anti-money laundering and compliance for the coming digital asset management transformation in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia,” says Wong.
