JunHe has announced the promotion of 18 of its senior lawyers to the firm’s partnership, and 12 lawyers to counsel-level positions. The new partners and counsels hail from JunHe’s Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong offices and come from practice areas including banking and finance, capital markets, competition, dispute resolution, intellectual property, international trade and M&As. Kebing (Kobe) Chen in Shanghai, who has been promoted to partner in the international trade and dispute resolution practice areas. Chen received his Bachelor of Laws from the China University of Political Science and Law. He joined JunHe in 2016 and specializes in customs law. He has extensive experience in international trade, customs administration in imports and exports, import and export duties, customs investigations, penalties, administrative appeal and litigation, as well as providing defense for cases of smuggling, escaping statutory inspection and quarantine crimes.
Jinghe Guo in Beijing, who has been promoted to partner in the corporate and M&A, data privacy, cybersecurity and information law practice areas. Guo obtained her Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from China University of Political Science and Law, and studied further at the University of Montreal, where she obtained a Master of Laws. She joined JunHe in 2016 and has extensive experience in data compliance and cybersecurity, personal information protection and privacy, TMT, artificial intelligence, ecommerce, and foreign investment.
Ying Liang in Shenzhen, who has been promoted to partner in the corporate and M&A, capital markets and banking and finance practice areas. Liang graduated from Sun Yat-sen University and New York University, obtaining her Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws. She has been admitted to practice law in China and New York. She joined JunHe in 2014, specializing in domestic and cross-border M&A, capital markets, banking and finance; she has extensive experience in consumer retail, artificial intelligence, seed technology.
Yidi Xu in Shanghai, who has been promoted to partner in the patent and medical devices practice areas. Xu received his Bachelor and Master of Laws from East China University of Politics and Law, and his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Automation from Shanghai Jiaotong University. He joined JunHe in 2016 and focuses on patent litigation and invalidation, intellectual property due diligence (including freedom-to-operate search and analysis), patent drafting and prosecution, and technology licensing. Xu’s technical expertise spans fields including mechanics, electronic devices, medical devices, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and new energy.
Fangzhou Zhang in Shanghai, who has been promoted to partner in the corporate and M&A, foreign investment and life sciences and healthcare practice areas. Zhang graduated from Wuhan University, New York University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws and two Master of Laws, respectively. He is qualified to practice law in both China and the State of New York. Zhang joined JunHe in 2017 and specializes in corporate mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, licensing transactions and regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in investment, M&As, licensing transactions, and regulatory compliance in the life sciences and healthcare sector.
