China, Sweden Have Copyright Development Exchange

Yan Xiaohong, deputy director of the National Copyright Administration of China, recently led a delegation to Sweden and other European countries for copyright development exchanges.

During meetings in Sweden, Yan highlighted China’s achievements in copyright legislation and enforcement as well as outcomes in copyright collective management. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on China’s revised copyright law and copyright protection and the entry into Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances, among others.

Yan said that China has frequent communication with Sweden in global copyright-related meetings and noted that he hoped his visit would enhance mutual understanding and trust and lay a good foundation for future collaboration.

Swedish officials agreed that China has made remarkable copyright development and both countries have found common ground in the fundamental system and philosophy of copyright, which would allow further exchanges and cooperation.
