China Strengthens Enforcement On Music Copyright

National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) recently held a seminar with World Intellectual Property Organization, where the Chief of NCAC said IP protection of music would be enforced. 

 

The seminar was held on April 23 in Beijing. Yu Cike, the chief of NCAC, said the focus of 2015 Sword Action would be aimed at music industry.  He said that the "Sword Action" (or "Sword Network Campaign"), which was intended to address internet copyright piracy, would focus more attention on on music industry this year. "Meanwhile, NCAC will take the responsibility of the website copyright surveillence, as well as cooperate and communicate with experts and academics from other countries about the fututre aspects of music copyright protection."
