Xiaoqiang Qian joins Haiwen & Partners in Beijing

Intellectual property and antitrust law expert Xiaoqiang Qian has joined Haiwen & Partners as a partner in the firm’s Beijing office as a partner as part of the firm’s plans to further develop its antitrust business. Qian focuses on antitrust, competition law and intellectual property dispute resolution legal services, and is noted for her work handling major and complex antitrust declarations, investigations and litigation projects.

Before joining Haiwen, Qian was a partner at a Jincheng Tongda & Neal; previously, he worked in the Ministry of Commerce of China for 10 years and served as the Deputy Director of the Review Division of the Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. He has reviewed hundreds of cases.

Qian has also participated in the drafting of several Chinese anti-monopoly laws and regulations, and has a relatively deep understanding of the spirit and supervision of anti-monopoly laws and regulations. In addition, Qian worked in the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Consulate General in New York for three years, responsible for the coordination and promotion of trade and investment between the eastern states of the United States and China, and participated in the connection and exchange of plans between Chinese and American business and government agencies.
