AWP & Alliance, JTJB announce merger in Bangkok

AWP & Alliance has merged with JTJB International Lawyers in Bangkok, according to a statement from the firms. The combined firm has five partners and more than 30 staff members.

JTJB International Lawyers, established in 2005, was initially focused on litigation and international commercial arbitration but has since grown to become is a full-service commercial law firm under the leadership of partners Naiyachon Tathong and Bunnasomboon Chaiparinya (Aaron). JTJB International Lawyers is the largest of several overseas offices of JTJB LLP, a pre-eminent maritime and commercial litigation firm headquartered in Singapore.

AWP & Alliance, a highly regarded boutique commercial law firm in Bangkok, was formerly known as Apisith & Alliance which was founded in 2002 by Apisith John Sutham. The firm became AWP & Alliance in 2021. AWP & Alliance has provided focused corporate and transactional legal services to both local and foreign clients in the areas of corporate law, general commercial, intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, securities and capital market, inbound investment, real estate and dispute settlement.

Following the merger, Apisith John Sutham will be a consultant while Pattaravadee Kongcharoenniwat and Wiyadathawin Luenchavee will be partners in the intellectual property and corporate and capital market practices, respectively, in JTJB International Lawyers.
