Overview

Tuan Nguyen serves as the managing partner and the head of the intellectual property practice group at Bizconsult Law Firm, one of the leading law firms in Vietnam. He has been practicing the business law since 1998, and advising a considerable number of foreign investors, foreign-invested companies, banks, investment funds and Vietnamese companies in various business areas such as mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, banking and finance, real estate, corporate and commercial, intellectual property, franchising and litigation.

Tuan was named a Leading Lawyer in Intellectual Property in Vietnam by AsiaLaw in 2011 and ranked in the A-List of Vietnam’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 by Asia Business Law Journal. He obtained the M&A Deal of Year Award by Asian Counsel for a M&A transaction in which he acted for a foreign investor to acquire a large local garment company. In 2011, he acted for a large pharmaceutical manufacturer to cancel a mark registration on the ground of 5-year non-use and the case was awarded The Landmark Case of Trademark Cancellation by AsiaIP.

Tuan is the co-author of the Vietnam chapter of the International Franchise Sales Law book published by the American Bar Association Forum, the Public Mergers & Acquisitions book and the Protection of Trademarks in Vietnam book published by Law Business Research (Getting The Deal Through) in London.
