Overview
Le Quoc Chen is the founder and managing partner of ANNAM IP & LAW. He has been a member of the Hanoi Bar since 2004 and brings over three decades of experience in the field of intellectual property.
Chen holds a BSc. in Electronics from Hanoi University (1986), a Bachelor of Economics from the National Economics University (1996) and an LLB from Hanoi Law University (1997). He further honed his expertise by completing the SEAD Course in Singapore in 2000 and the rigorous training at the Vietnam Academy of Justice before being admitted to the Hanoi Bar in 2004.
Throughout his career, Chen has held significant positions in the intellectual property field. He began his career at the Institute of Transport and Communication (1987-1992) before moving to INVESTIP, where he served as head of the trademark division (1992-1998), head of the patent and design division (1998-2003), and director of the patent department (2003-2007). In June 2007, he co-founded Minh, Chien & Partners, where he served as a founding partner until October 2008, the year of founding Annam IP & Law.
Chen is a respected member of the Hanoi Bar Association, VIPA, AIPPI, INTA and APAA, where he represents Vietnam in the APAA Patent Committee. Fluent in both English and Vietnamese, he is well-versed in navigating complex intellectual property issues in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
