Overview

Risti Wulansari is a co-founder of K&K Advocates and a seasoned intellectual property practitioner with over two decades of experience advising both Indonesian and international clients across a wide spectrum of IP matters. She leads the firm’s IP prosecution team and oversees the commercial IP practice group.

Admitted as an IP Consultant in 2006, Wulansari handles an extensive range of prosecution work encompassing trademarks and geographical indications, industrial designs, copyright and patents. Beyond prosecution, she plays a pivotal role in IP enforcement and the management of complex commercial IP projects, providing strategic advisory services in areas such as franchising, licensing, distributorship, consumer protection, anti-monopoly regulations and matters relating to media and data protection and privacy.

Her client portfolio spans diverse industries, including FMCG, fashion, application-based transportation, consumer goods, food and beverage, media, ecommerce and tobacco. Among her notable achievements, Wulansari successfully secured a trade exemption from the Ministry of Trade on behalf of a multinational ready-to-assemble furniture manufacturer and distributor and advised the world’s largest software manufacturer in a landmark copyright case.

A recognized voice in the IP community, Wulansari has authored articles published in Bloomberg Law, Asia IP and Franchise Law Review, and is a frequent speaker at seminars on intellectual property topics.
