Overview

Justisiari P. Kusumah is the founder and managing partner of K&K Advocates, where he leads the firm’s commercial intellectual property and dispute resolution practice groups. Born in Bandung on March 31, 1970, he has established himself as one of Indonesia’s foremost legal authorities in intellectual property rights, earning recognition from Asia Pacific Legal 500, World Trademark Review and Chambers Asia as a leading IPR practitioner.

Kusumah holds a Doctor of Laws from the Faculty of Law, Pelita Harapan University. His influence extends beyond private practice; from 2012 to 2016, he served as a member of the expert team under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, contributing to the drafting of key IPR regulations, while also serving in multiple task forces within the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.

A respected figure on the international stage, Kusumah has represented Indonesia at prominent forums including the USTR Public Hearing and the WIPO General Assembly. He currently serves as Executive Director of MIAP and holds active roles within the International Trademark Association (INTA). In addition to his professional engagements, he remains committed to advancing legal scholarship through academic and intellectual discourse.
