Sunny Kumar, former BBC lawyer and IP expert, joins Ashurst in London

IP expert Sunny Kumar has joined Ashurst a partner in its London corporate practice, in a boost to its digital economy team.
Kumar is a senior IP lawyer, with significant experience advising on IP matters across the financial services, technology, life sciences and media sectors, in particular working on complex IP rich transactions and managing large trademark portfolios. Notably, he has worked in-house within the BBC’s IP transactions team. He joins as UK head of IP.

Kumar’s hire follows that of Alexander Duisberg, who joined as a partner in the digital economy team in Munich in February. Kumar joins Ashurst from K&L Gates in London.
