IP Week @ SG 2020 to go digital on August 25 - 26

This year’s edition of IP Week @ SG will go digital for the first time on August 25-26, 2020.
Titled “Ideas to Assets: Innovate, Collaborate, Globalise,” the event will be a Covid-19 special. It will focus on the increasing role of intellectual property and intangible assets (IA) in the new economy impacted by the health crisis. Under this new economy, traditional business models are being challenged. Thus, the new normal is poised to encourage striking a balance between IP and IA protection against the need for collaboration, open access and open innovation.
The programme will include the following:
- Live sessions on monetizing and protecting IP and innovation
- The annual IP Awards featuring Singaporean companies with innovative solutions to the Covid-19 crisis. The IPOS Innovation for Humanity Award celebrates the interplay of ingenuity, inventiveness and creativity in solving one of the greatest challenges facing the current generation
- Full-length replays of past Global Forum on IP sessions where speakers from Alibaba, Facebook, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Netflix and others discuss the development of winning IP strategies
