DLA Piper Has Appointed Horace Lam As Partner
DLA Piper has appointed Horace Lam as partner to its intellectual property and technology group in Beijing, where he will also lead the firm’s China IP team. Lam brings with him a team of four lawyers.
 
Lam practices both contentious and non-contentious IP work and has extensive experience representing multi-national companies on IP issues in China, developing and executing IP strategies for Asian business, including pan-Asian protection strategies, cross-border IP litigations, infringement and enforcement. Horace’s practice also includes licensing, trademarks, copyrights, patents, confidential information, trade secrets, technology and know-how transfer and design rights.
 
The team joining Lam in Beijing are associates Stacy Yuan and Alicia Ma, paralegal Helen Ding, all from Jones Day, and Miya Wen from Rouse. Lam joins DLA Piper from Jones Day in Beijing, where he has been since 2011. Prior to Jones Day, he was at Hogan Lovells, where he was head of the China IP practice and Beijing office managing partner.
