Charles M Fish Has Joined Chadbourne & Parke’s New York Office
Former Time Warner vice president and chief patent counsel Charles M Fish has joined Chadbourne & Parke’s New York office, where he will serve as counsel. The hire is part of the firm’s continuing expansion of its IP practice. John Squires, former chief intellectual property counsel for Goldman, Sachs & Co, joined the firm in January.

Fish brings a wide range of IP experience in the digital TV, consumer electronics, publishing and telecommunications industries, as well as handson knowledge of social networking and web-based technologies. He spent nearly six years as Time Warner’s first chief patent counsel, with responsibility for corporate patent strategy and operations, including litigation, risk analysis, licensing and procurement. He coordinated and oversaw a team providing legal services to seven divisions, each a Fortune 500 company in its own right: AOL, HBO, Time Inc, Time Warner Cable, Turner Broadcasting/CNN, Warner Bros and Warner Music.

Before joining Time Warner, Fish served as vice president, sector IP law director, for Motorola’s broadband communications sector. He has also served as a patent attorney at Sony Corporation of America.
