Bharath charts new course with launch of KRIA Law

MS Bharath, former partner and head of south India operations at Anand and Anand, has left that firm to set up on his own. KRIA Law will initially focus on intellectual property, litigation support and dispute resolution, before extending into commercial and business advisory, transactional and advisory services. The firm officially opened on March 6, 2021.
Bharath is a familiar face on the Indian IP scene, having spent nearly 20 years with Anand and Anand, first in Delhi, with the last 12 years in Chennai, where he will continue to be based.
Since 2019, Bharath has been a councillor of Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), and currently serves as a member of India Global Advisory Council of International Trademarks Association. He is also currently president of the IP Association of South India.
His practice includes IP litigation, opposition, cancellation, arbitration and other related proceedings, and he has been the lead counsel in numerous appeals, rectification and original proceedings before the High Courts of New Delhi, Chennai and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board.
