Corporate lawyer Atsutoshi Maeda will lead new office.

Anderson Mori & Tomotsune has announced that it will open a new office in London in the middle of 2023. The firm’s presence in the United Kingdom is being established to enhance its ability to provide Japanese law advice to clients in the UK and Europe, the firm said in a statement.

Partner Atsutoshi Maeda will lead the London Office. As a co-head of the firm’s Singapore office since 2013, he frequently travels between Japan and Singapore since the last eight years, being involved in many cross-border matters connecting Japan and Southeast Asia. Maeda has provided general corporate advice on issues regarding commercial laws, employment laws and compliance problems, and has negotiated contracts in a broad range of industries. He has also handled disputes for domestic and international clients.

The London office will also assist global companies involved in international disputes related to their business in Japan.
