James Lawrence joins Addisons in Sydney

Australian law firm Addisons has appointed patents litigator and trademark specialist James Lawrence as a partner in its intellectual property practice. Lawrence, who joins the firm from Mills Oakley, is based in Sydney.
Lawrence specializes in the resolution of complex IP disputes, copyright, trademark and patent litigation. He brings extensive patent litigation expertise in life sciences, electronics and high technology, with a strong track record in resolving complex IP disputes.

James’ appointment as a partner will significantly strengthen our already impressive IP team.”
The firm’s IP practice has extensive experience in advising clients on trademark protection and enforcement as well as commercialization and licensing of copyrights, patents and trademarks. It is regularly involved in significant intellectual property litigation, often with cross-border aspects. Clients are drawn from a range of industries including food and beverage, financial services and insurance, pharmaceutical and health, technology as well as media and entertainment.
