John Yuen Chuen Lee has joined Angela Wang & Co.’s dispute resolution practice in Hong Kong. Lee, who hold the role of of counsel, brings almost three decades of legal experience and holds dual solicitor qualifications in Hong Kong and England & Wales. His arrival is expected to enhance the firm’s cross-border abilities, driving strategic growth in this area.
Lee’s expertise includes independent arbitration, accredited mediation, commercial arbitration, litigation, risk management, and strategic advisory services. His tenure as a former partner and head of the dispute resolution group at an international law firm has equipped him with a understanding of intricate legal landscapes and the nuances of international dispute resolution.
His practice encompasses a broad spectrum of high-stakes commercial and civil disputes with significant cross-border elements. These include complex international investment claims, multifaceted company and shareholder disputes spanning multiple jurisdictions, substantial construction claims involving international stakeholders, intricate multi-jurisdictional insolvency proceedings, competition law matters with global ramifications, intellectual property disputes across various territories, and significant land-related disputes involving international investment.
Lee is also a part-time risk management education tutor for the Law Society of Hong Kong, an editorial board member of the Solicitors’ Guide to Professional Conduct, a member of the Law Society Arbitration Committee and its Arbitration Panel, and a member of the Law Society Risk Management Education Accreditation Sub-Committee. He has also been appointed to the DOJ Working Group on ORFSA Checklists.
