Celia Cheah joins Wong & Partners in Kuala Lumpur

Celia Cheah has joined Wong & Partners, the Malaysia member firm of Baker McKenzie International, as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice in Kuala Lumpur. 

Over the past two decades, Cheah has built a strong IP practice, representing clients from across a wide range of sectors, including food and beverages, consumer goods and services, luxury goods and pharmaceuticals. Her expertise encompasses advising on IP prosecution and IP commercial matters, in areas including registration, licensing, franchising, and brand strategy. She has extensive experience helping clients with the creation, protection, commercialization, and enforcement of various IP rights, including trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and copyrights.

Cheah joins Wong & Partners from Christopher & Lee Ong, previously serving at Malaysian firms including LAW Partnership, Shearn Delamore & Co. and Tay & Partners.

Cheah holds an LLB from the University of London and was admitted to practice as an advocate and solicitor in Malaysia in 2000.
