Ellen Anderson promoted to senior associate at Addisons

Ellen Anderson has been promoted to senior associate at Addisons in Sydney, where she is a member of the firm’s IP and media and entertainment team.
Anderson works with a range of clients advising on media, intellectual property and privacy law, providing pre-publication and post-publication advice in relation to defamation, copyright and broadcast restrictions under regulatory codes. She also advises on issues relating to political advertising.
Anderson also works with clients to ensure their spam policies and procedures are compliant with the relevant legislation and also has acted for clients in a number of courts and jurisdictions relating to trademark infringement, defamation and commercial disputes.
She regularly provide advice to a number of media publishers including Seven Network, AAP, Sky News, WPP ANZ and Free TV on pre-publication issues involving defamation, contempt, copyright and compliance with regulatory codes and acts in defamation proceedings and investigations by the ACMA. She is currently acting for Seven Network in Federal Court defamation proceedings.
