Tat Wai Kwok promoted to partner at Zaid Ibrahim & Co.

Tat Wai Kwok has been promoted to partner at Zaid Ibrahim & Co.’s main office in Kuala Lumpur, where he practises exclusively in the area of intellectual property.

His scope of practice encompasses trademark registration and various advisory work ranging from data protection issues to transactional IP matters including franchising and other contentious and non-contentious IP matters. He has also assisted in investigation and enforcement actions involving various brand owners.

Kwok was admitted to practice in 2013 and joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co. in 2014. He started his legal career specializing in IP prior to joining the firm in 2014.

Kwok’s promotion coincided with four other promotions at Zaid Ibrahim & Co.: Judson Lim Chong Tzin (corporate practice, Penang), Lily Adelina Hashim (Shariah practice, Kuala Lumpur), Yim Siew Lim (corporate practice, Johor Bahru) and Mohamad Iliyas bin Razali (corporate practice, Kuala Lumpur). The promotions bring the total partner headcount at the firm to 64.
