Lucy Hudson joins Woodhouse IP as owner/director.

Lucy Hudson has joined Woodhouse IP in Auckland, where she is an owner/director.

Hudson joined the firm from Baldwins, where she had been a senior associate heading up the firm’s trademark tream; she also practiced in London, including a stint as an in-house trademark manager for a large multinational drinks business. She is a New Zealand lawyer, Trans-Tasman Patent Attorney and Australian Trade Marks Attorney with 22 years’ experience in intellectual property law.

Hudson works with a range of businesses, from start-ups to multinationals across a wide range of industries and is known to be a business-savvy lawyer who can provide clients with advice including strategic advice early with a new brand or product, freedom to operate searching, protecting and commercializing new brands and innovations or enforcing existing IP rights.

Woodhouse IP was launched as a boutique IP law practice in 2017 by Marcus Woodhouse, a former trademark and copyright lawyer at AJ Park. The firm works with local and overseas businesses seeking protection and enforcement of their IP rights in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands as well as local exporters seeking protection and enforcement of their rights in overseas markets.
