Khaitan & Co has promoted 11 principal associates to partners and two principal associates to counsel, effective April 1, 2019, across the firm’s offices in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. Of the 11 new partners, six are women, including Smriti Yadav (picture above), a new partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice. Yadav is based in Mumbai, where she is a patent agent, a member of the Bombay Bar Association and the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
With 141 partners and 11 counsel today, the overall leadership count at the firm, across practices, is 152.
