UAE reduces official fees

As per the Cabinet Ministerial Decision 20/2020 with respect to the services offered by Ministry of Economy issued on March 31 which took effect from April 5, 2020 the UAE has announced a range of discounts on existing fees for services.
This decision is intended to support companies both local and foreign affected by the dramatic impact of the global pandemic Covid 19 on the economy.
According to JAH & Co. IP, the following are a few notable highlights:
Search fees have been reduced from AED500 (US$137) to AED350 (US$95)
Trademark filing fees have been reduced from AED1,000 (US$273) to AED750 (US$204)
Trademark publication fees have been reduced from AED1,000 (US$273) to AED750 (US$204)
Trademark registration fees have been reduced from AED6,700 (US$1,824) to AED5,000 (US$1,361)
Trademark renewal fees have been reduced from AED8,700 (US$2,370) to AED6,500 (US$1,771)
Opposition fees reduced from AED10,000 (US$2,730) to AED7,500 (US$2,040)
Appeal against opposition decision from AED10,000 (US$2,730) to AED7,500 (US$2,040)
