IP Vietnam is the latest to join DESIGNview, which was formed on November 19, 2012. The global search tool now has 76 participating IP offices with an aggregate total of over 21.4 million industrial designs.

“Overall, this is great news for applicants who want to file their designs in Vietnam. My team and I have enjoyed using DESIGNview in preparation for our clients’ applications in countries outside of Vietnam and are now overjoyed to see that our overseas colleagues and friends can use the search tool to aid their filing process in Vietnam,” said Tran Manh Hung, APAC co-chair for IP Tech Practice Group at Baker McKenzie in Hanoi.

He added: “I applaud the efforts and dedication of the EUIPO, IP Vietnam and other relevant parties in making this global search tool more integrated and global. I surely look forward to seeing more collaborations from other IP offices in the world.”
