Overview

Dr. Chien-Chung Yuan has been invited to work as a consultant and patent trainer by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) for more than two decades. He was requested to act as the author for drafting The Patents Examination Guidelines for Computer Software-Related Inventions for TIPO. Dr. Yuan has been a popular lecturer of patent training courses for Taiwan Chiao-Tung University, the Taiwan University of Science & Technology and the Taipei University of Science & Technology, and others. He is a lecturer at the Taiwan Intellectual Property Training Academy (TIPA) and has been nominated as an “Excellent Teacher” for many years.

Dr. Yuan was the chairman of The Project for Improving the Competitiveness of Local Industry in Patents for the Taiwan Industrial Development Bureau. As a former leader of the intellectual property group of the Institute for Information Industry, Dr. Yuan has long-term experience in enterprise IP management, and has served as an IP consultant for primary companies such as TSMC, Foxconn, Acer, Uni-President, AUO, Inventec, Delta Electronics, Accton and Gigabyte, among others.

Dr. Yuan has been invited to serve as an IP consultant in China since 2000, including for The State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, among others.

Dr. Yuan was also a patent attorney in China and acted as a senior counselor of DeHeng Law Offices for many years.
