Overview

Anomi Wanigasekera has experience of over 42 years in all aspects of intellectual property law. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Wales in international trade law and holds diplomas in intellectual property law, international trade law, and banking and insurance law from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education.

Wanigasekera is a life member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and the Colombo Law Society. She is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and co-chairs the INTA General Advisory Council South Asia region for the 2026–2027 term. She is also a member of the INTA Unfair Competition Committee for the 2026-2027 term. Wanigasekera is a member and councillor of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) and vice president of the APAA Sri Lanka Group.
