Overview

Atty. Doble’s over eighteen (18) years of experience in IP law covers the full spectrum of the practice. In recent years, she has focused on trademark law and IP litigation. She maintains the trademark portfolios of several of V&A Law’s largest clients, among which is the domestic and Madrid Protocol trademark portfolio of BDO Unibank, the Philippines’ largest universal bank. Atty. Doble is also instrumental in the foreign expansion of the trademark portfolio of local bakery chain, Pan de Manila, which relied on her strategic advice on the relevant jurisdictions and the most appropriate registration routes to maximize the brand’s potential in foreign markets. Due to her breadth of experience, she is heavily involved in the growth of V&A Law’s trademark prosecution practice.

Atty. Doble remains active in numerous IP litigation cases, putting to use her extensive experience in handling infringement and unfair competition cases, as well as inter partes cases before the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPOPHL). Some of these cases have even contributed to the building of Philippine jurisprudence on important issues for trademarks, specifically for well-known marks and trademark rights violations involving liquified petroleum gas cylinders (LPG). She also handles IP commercialization and licensing queries covering advice on regulatory matters for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, ethical advertising requirements, enforceability of technology transfer and licensing agreements, novel queries related to emerging internet and software-based industries and copyright issues.
