Overview

R.C. Subedi is a highly experienced advocate specializing in intellectual property law, with over two decades of continuous practice since 1998. His primary focus is on trademark litigation, anti-counterfeiting actions, and the enforcement of trademark rights. Subedi regularly appears before the Supreme Court and High Courts in trademark disputes. 

Subedi has significantly contributed to shaping IP law in the country. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Nepal. He is actively involved in various committees within the International Trademark Association (INTA) and previously served as the president of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association – Nepal. His dedication to IP has been instrumental in strengthening Nepal’s IP jurisprudence. Subedi’s work encompasses a broad range of IP issues, including distinguishing between trademarks and geographical indications (GIs), challenging bad faith trademark registrations, and safeguarding the rights of well-known trademarks. Through years of expertise and leadership, Subedi continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the protection and understanding of intellectual property in Nepal and beyond.
