Overview

Pankaj Soni has more than 20 years’ experience and is admitted to practise in India, New York and New Jersey. He leads the firm’s patent litigation practice and has litigated matters before courts in India and the U.S. He has also led client negotiations for litigation settlements and cross-licensing agreements.

Pankaj is a recognized patent strategist and has advised Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups on creating and managing IP portfolios and setting up effective patent protection and enforcement strategies in India, especially in the electronics, ICT and telecom domains. He has also provided litigation advisory services to entities in the SEP/FRAND space in India, and helped them formulate strategy on licensing of patent portfolios.

In charge of the U.S. desk at the firm, Pankaj manages a team of patent prosecution attorneys handling electrical/electronics, computer and mechanical inventions. He has authored several articles on IP and is a sought-after speaker who often shares his insights in fora across the globe.

Pankaj is also:

•  Member, FICCI IP Forum (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry)
