Overview

Ying Zhang is an IP lawyer and industry specialist with over 25 years’ experience across all facets of IP. She is one of the earliest Chinese lawyers who has been engaged in the IP law since 1997. Ying specializes in IP, both contentious and non-contentious, she is known for providing services to multinational corporations and Chinese enterprises in dispute resolution matters.

Ying’s practice area almost covers all aspects of IP, including trademark, copyright, unfair competition and trade secret, patent and technology licensing and anti-trust, patent infringement dispute, IP issues in business transactions, etc. Ying has gained abundant experience in IP portfolio management and licensing, complicated trademark and trade name disputes, brand development and protection strategy, settlement discussion, IP litigation and other related contentious matters.

Ying has represented her clients in dozens of administrative and civil actions before the Chinese courts and other administrative bodies. Her clients cover a wide range of industries, from start-ups and publicly listed entities, to state-owned companies. Ying has been named as “Top 15 IP Lawyers in China” by Asian Legal Business (ALB) and “Top 100 IP Experts in China” by Asia IP.
