Overview

Chunyu Zhao has more than 19 years’ experience in handling all soft IP matters, representing clients in the procurement of trademark rights, handling contentious matters including trademark oppositions, invalidations, cancellations, attending trademark administrative litigations, negotiating trademark transfers, drafting license contracts, seeking copyright registrations and participating in domain name arbitrations. She is highly recognized by clients for her capability in handling complicated cases, managing large trademark portfolio and providing advice on overall strategy.

She obtained her LLM degree from the University of Washington and participated in a research programme held by CEIPI of the University of Strasbourg, France. Her diverse background enables her comprehensive understanding of the U.S. and EU legal systems, and also facilitates communication with international clients. She has published many IP-related articles based on her practical experiences, and is an active member of INTA, AIPPI, ECTA and CTA.
