Overview

Hung Zheng On graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor’s of Laws (LL.B Hons). He is a member of Lincoln’s Inn, London, and was called to the English Bar in July 2006. He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Brunei Darussalam in 2007. He is a partner at CCW Partnership, having joined the firm in 2006. He has more than 17 years of experience in the dispute resolution department.

On specializes in the field of intellectual property; his practice also include commercial and civil litigation, including banking, employment, construction, insurance and insolvency. On has appeared before the High Court and Court of Appeal of Brunei Darussalam. He completed a JPO/IPR Training Course for IP Practitioners in 2015 organized by the Japan Patent Office. He oversees and manages registration, general advisory and prosecution of intellectual property in the firm.

He is currently vice president of the Law Society of Brunei Darussalam, having served as president before. He is recognized as a “Distinguished Practitioner” by Asialaw in 2024. He is one of the ASEAN Experts in the IPR SME Helpdesk and has been invited to speak on intellectual property matters locally in Brunei and regionally
