Zul Rafique & Partners Allies With Bahar & Partners

Malaysian firm Zul Rafique & Partners has announced a strategic alliance with Indonesian firm Bahar & Partners. While the firms will remain independent entities, together, they will have combined resources of more than a hundred lawyers in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. Marking this new alliance, the two firms have recently established a joint venture company, Zul Rafique Bahar & Partners, in Brunei Darussalam, which will become the center point of their plan in exploring the Southeast Asian market.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Zul Rafique & Partners was established in 1999 and is noted for both contentious and non-contentious matters. The firm is now the fourth-largest in Malaysia with more than 90 fee-earners. Bahar & Partners was founded in 1992, and provides legal services with a focus on corporate laws.
