Webinar on Invalidation Trial vs. Opposition System in Japan on July 14

Shiga International Patent Office in Tokyo will be conducting a free live webinar on Invalidation Trial vs. Opposition System in Japan on July 14. It will be conducted via Zoom.
The webinar, which will include a Q and A segment, will discuss the procedures under each system and their differences. It will also provide and explain practical tips which will be useful when opting for either the invalidation trial or the opposition route.
The invalidation trial and opposition are two systems involved in order to prosecute a third party’s patent in Japan.
Patent attorney Kentaro Horie will be the featured speaker. Horie’s expertise lies in prosecution and opinions with specializations in chemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He is particularly experienced in food analysis, enzyme purification and clarification of the structure and activity of compounds isolated from foods using HPLC and NMR and methods such as ELISA and PCR.
