Tim Clarke launches Yara Law

Tim Clarke, a former special counsel at Addisons in Sydney, has launched his own firm, Yara Law, in Terrigal, NSW, about an hour’s drive north of Sydney.

“After more than two decades working in some of Australia’s largest and finest law and intellectual property firms, we decided to launch Yara Law as an alternative model for the provision of legal services,” Clarke said. “Our purpose is to provide high-quality, accessible, timely and cost-effective legal services built around a fixed/capped fee model of service where you have ready access to experienced lawyers when you need them.”

Clarke is a highly experienced lawyer and trademark attorney who specializes in all aspects of intellectual property, complementary medicine law and regulation, food and beverage law and regularly assists health practitioners. In additional to qualifications in law and commerce, he holds a Bachelor of Complementary Medicine (UNE) and has an active passion and interest in this space, which includes the regulation of dietary supplements, nutritional supplements, herbal, medicines, homoeopathic preparations, probiotics and certain aromatherapy preparations.

“We have always enjoyed working with a variety of businesses and people in many industries and professions and want to bring this breadth of experience and our professional skills to an accessible boutique offering,” Clarke said. “We have a particular interest (and unique skill set) in respect of complementary medicine law, regulation and practice. However, we also offer a suite of additional services that we trust will meet the needs of multiple clients, be they start-ups through to medium and large businesses or individuals with challenging personal or professional legal issues.”
