Richard Chew joins K&L Gates as Sydney-based partner

Richard Chew has joined K&L Gates as a partner in the firm’s Sydney office. Chew, who brings a dedicated focus on technology transactions, telecommunications and privacy matters, joins a large global team of technology sourcing and privacy lawyers servicing some of the most sophisticated technology clients in Australia and globally.
Chew is an experienced technology lawyer who assists clients with outsourcing, IT and commercial telecommunications arrangements, technology and IP commercialization, strategic procurement and sourcing, and vendor management.
This experience has seen Chew assist on some of the most extensive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry outsourcing transactions in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
Before entering legal practice, Chew spent over a decade in the ICT industry, where he led global technology development and product and operational support teams for leading telecommunications providers in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
