Nancy Roy has joined Lall & Sethi in New Delhi as a partner effective August 3, 2021. She will lead the firm’s litigation practice.
Roy has practiced in courts all over India, including the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, Madras High Court, Calcutta High Court, Bombay High Court, district courts and tribunals since 2010, and has argued matters independently as well as assisted senior advocates in heavily contested litigation. Her key practice areas include litigation and advisory in the fields of disparagement, trademarks, copyright, patents, design infringements, arbitrations, consumer complaints, etc.
The firm, in a statement, notes that this is a homecoming for Roy, who began her career in IP law with Lall & Sethi. “In an effort to gain more experience of litigation practice, she joined the Chambers of Mr. Chander Lall, Senior Advocate, who is one of the Founders of Lall & Sethi,” the first said. “Her experience and growth vision will add niche practice areas to the firm and further strengthen the firm’s litigation delivery capabilities and growth plans.”
