Does the Patent Prosecution Highway actually offer significant advantages to the patent applicant? Elvan Yang discovers that, in Taiwan, at least, the PPH does offer an applicant the opportunity to obtain a longer patent life at lower cost, but only when implemented by the close cooperation between the applicant and a local law firm.
