Lovells And Hogan & Hartson Merge
05 December 2012
Managers at London-based Lovells and Washington-based Hogan & Hartson have announced intentions to merge the firms in May 2010.
The merger, which is subject to approval by partners of each firm, would create a firm of 2,500 lawyers in 40 offices across the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The combined firm would likely become a Top 10 global firm.
According to a statement issued by Hogan & Hartson, the partners of each firm are expected to vote in mid-December.
“The Hogan & Hartson/Lovells combination complements each firm’s capabilities from a practice, geographic, and industry perspective,” said J Warren Gorrell, Jr, chairman of Hogan & Hartson. “[It] would preserve the cultures of each firm and our commitments to community service.”
