Logan Leung has been promoted to partner at Rajah & Tann LCT Lawyers in Ho Chi Minh City effective January 1, 2021, where he is a member of the firm’s technology, media and telecommunications; dispute resolution; and corporate and M&A practices. Leung is recognized for both contentious and non-contentious matters, and is well-versed with Vietnam’s regulatory environment.
His expertise lies in the technology sphere; his clients range from start-ups to global technology giants, whom he has advised on matters covering cybersecurity, e-commerce, IP, gaming, net neutrality, data protection and privacy, entries of disruptive technologies, and policy matters.
In the firm’s dispute resolution practice, he specializes in international arbitration and has advised or acted as counsel in disputes adjudicated under the arbitration rules of the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, VIAC, CAA and the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution.
He has advised a number of global internet companies on various legal matters in relation to their Vietnam operations, including regulatory review of existing an proposed product launches and data privacy; he has advised a leading OTT platform service on the regulatory aspects of its business in Vietnam, as well as assisted in written advocacy against Vietnam’s proposed broadcasting legislation; and assisted, on behalf of a global internet company, in the development of a commentary paper by the Asia Internet Coalition in relation to Vietnam’s proposed broadcasting legislation. He has also been involved in the launch of video services in Vietnam, including acting for iflix in its joint venture in Vietnam and market entry for the launch of an SVOD service in Vietnam, and assisting Huya in its launch of Nimo TV, an e-sports streaming and live broadcasting platform, in Vietnam, and acted as counsel on ongoing compliance and day-to-day operational matters.
