30 August 2019
Kate Marshall has been named head of KPMG Law in Australia. Marshall, a partner at the firm, has more than 25 years of experience as a data, technology and privacy lawyer. Her understanding of data in the context of regulatory compliance, artificial intelligence and ethics is highly regarded, and she has been frequently recognized as a leader in her field.
Marshall, who is based in Melbourne, succeeded Stuart Fuller, who was named new global head of legal services for KPMG – the first time an Australian has been selected for the global role at KPMG.
“With the appointment of Kate Marshall, we have a leader who is an expert in the key areas of emerging technologies, privacy compliance, and digital strategy. In addition, Kate’s data breach experience, and her recent work with KPMG’s forensic and cyber teams make her ideally suited to drive growth in a time when business is looking for strong guidance in these key areas,” said Gary Wingrove, CEO KPMG Australia.
