Justin Welch is another partner addition to the Dallas office of Baker & McKenzie. Welch files, coordinates, and prosecutes trademark applications worldwide. He conducts and assesses trademark clearance searches and provides guidance and counseling for selecting proposed trademarks. He also drafts and negotiates IP licenses as well as other agreements plus managing global policing and enforcement efforts, including: handling trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, Federal Court, and in international arenas through a global network of trademark professionals; drafting cease and desist letters and negotiating settlement and/or coexistence agreements; domain name disputes; and enforcement of IPRs on social media platforms.
