Has the Microsoftization of Nokia already started?

Has the Microsoftization of Nokia already started?

Has the microsoftization of Nokia already begun? It seems so, listening to a speaker at the AIPPI Forumn & ExCo in Helsinki.

Speaking at the Apple v. Samsung session today, Susanna Mäkelä, Director, Legal & IP at Nokia,  opened by saying "it has been a very busy week for some of us, and that’s all I can say on that mater". On September 2, Microsoft announced a US$ 7.2 billion deal to purchase Nokia's phone business and license a portfolio of patents for an initial 10 year period. As Director, Legal & IP, it probably doesn't get much busier than that!

Later in the speech, Mäkelä invited delegates to look up some information on-line, extoling them to "Bing" that. Bing is Microsoft's own search engine. The Nokia employees transfering to Microsoft will probably see a lot of larger changes.
