Chris Mizumoto Joins Morgan Lewis In Tokyo

IP lawyer Chris Mizumoto has joined Morgan Lewis in Tokyo from Bingham McCutchen. A team of 10 lawyers and six staff across a variety of practice areas is expected to signiicantly strengthen the firm’s work in Japan, a spokesperson said. Mizumoto focuses his practice on advising major electronics corporations and pharmaceutical clients on US patent litigation and patent prosecution matters, including patent infringement/ non-infringement and validity/invalidity opinions. He also counsels clients on issues related to patent licensing. He has experience in a variety of subject areas, including medical devices, semiconductors, biotechnology and small drug molecules, among other areas.
Morgan Lewis now has 29 lawyers and staff resident in Tokyo, as well as a long-standing joint enterprise with TMI Associates.
