Benjamin Cheong Has Joined Rajah & Tann As Partner

Benjamin Cheong has joined Rajah & Tann as a partner from Baker & McKenzie. Cheong has more than a decade of experience in advising multinational clients on contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, technology and competition laws, with a particular focus on commercial intellectual property, technology and licensing transactions and brand protection. With the new economy, his practice also encompasses internet, social media and personal data protection issues. He has worked on a number of cross-border joint venture and mergers and acquisition deals across Asia. He has also been involved in several high stakes litigation and arbitration matters in various jurisdictions, including cases heard before the Singapore High Court and the China’s Supreme People’s Court. He has travelled extensively across the PRC to lobby with government officials and judicial and administrative authorities for better IP protection for his clients.
