Alexandra Lester named partner at Clyde & Co. in Dubai

Alexandra Lester has been promoted to partner in Clyde & Co.’s Middle East dispute resolution group; she is based in the Dubai office. She has extensive experience in technology, digital, media and telecommunications disputes.
She has practised law in the UK and the United Arab Emirates, and has been based in Dubai advising clients in the Middle East since 2015. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Lester worked for a leading international ICT company in the UK, negotiating major contracts and resolving disputes. She co-manages Clyde & Co.’s technology and digital sector group. She is also a member of the Society of Computers and Law.
Her recent work includes pursuing and defending various defamation and cybercrime claims in the UAE, including criminal complaints and civil claims; pursuing and defending injunctive proceedings in the Dubai International Finance Centre courts; and advising a technology client on social media and advertising regulations in Saudi Arabia ahead of a product launch.
